Family Day Summer Scheme Boat Trip 2019 The Pirate Castle will be running the final funded Family Day boat trip of the the Summer Holiday Scheme 2019 on Sunday 25th August 14.00 - 17.00 There are currently 6 spaces still available for parents / carers with children or children with parents / carers, at the fantastic price of only £3.00 per person for the three hour trip taking in the locks at Camden, Regent's Park and Little Venice. 'Pirate Club' Youth Kayaking Sessions Looking for an affordable, adventurous activity where your kids can learn new skills, make friends and explore a different side of London? Our popular 'Pirate Club' offers kayaking and canoeing sessions for 8-18 year olds, run by professional British Canoeing-accredited instructors. These sessions run throughout the summer and autumn terms: Wednesdays 16:30 - 18:00 and Saturdays 10:00 - 11:30. We fundraise to offer heavily subisidised rates of only £5.00 per session (£3.00 concessions with proof of eligibility). Read more
Boat Handling Experience Days 2019 The Pirate Castle will be running our popular Boat Handling Experience Days throughout 2019. These non-certificated one day courses provide friendly, hands-on training with our experienced, NCBA-accredited trainers, covering basic canal boat and lock handling skills. 'Upperdeckers' - Over 50s Kayaking Our popular 'Upperdeckers' over 50s kayaking sessions run every Wednesday during term-time! Kayaking is a low-impact activity that's great fun, sociable and suitable for all. Come and make a splash with us on the most picturesque stretch of the Regent's Canal, get fitter and make new friends. Tea, coffee, biscuits and chit-chat included! Black Pearl - a new boat for Christmas! Thanks to S106 funding from Camden Council, we are proud to introduce the newest addition to The Pirate Castle fleet! Black Pearl is a stunning, 57 foot long narrowboat with a modern, well-equipped interior and one the longest, most spacious foredecks we have ever seen on a narrowboat - perfect for watching the canalscape unfold around you! Canalway Cavalcade The Pirate Castle attends the Canalway Cavalcade in Little Venice, Westminster, every year on the early May Bank Holiday weekend. Both of our canal boats are open and on show and we also provide free kayaking taster sessions on the Saturday and Sunday. You can usually find us about half way down the Paddington Basin, close to the entrance to Paddington Station. Why not drop by and say hello? We look forward to seeing you there!
