Residential Cruises & Accommodation Afloat
A cruise on our residential boat Pirate Prince over a weekend or a week is an enjoyable, interesting and fun way to get to know some of the wonderful canal and river navigations in London and the surrounding area, bringing you close up to their history, engineering and surrounding wildlife as you cruise along at a relaxing four miles an hour.
Unlike many hire and hotel boats we offer a hands-on experience where you can get involved with all aspects of operating the boat, from working the locks and steering to helping prepare the evening meal and activities ashore, all taking place under the guidance of one of our friendly, qualified skippers.
For youth and adult groups seeking an unusual and memorable visit to London we can also offer self-catering accommodation for groups of up to 10 people aboard Pirate Prince, our wide-beam canal boat, based at the Pirate Castle in the heart of Camden Town. Head into town, see the sights, have fun shopping, hang out in Camden Lock Market. At the end of the day you can return to your floating home, prepare your meal and relax in convivial surroundings after a hard day of sightseeing, safe and sound at our own private wharf. Living afloat will add that touch of magic to your stay, just think of the attraction of living by the water. It's much more fun than staying in a hostel or a hotel!
Pirate Prince is ideal for youth clubs, school parties, community and private groups and is available throughout the year (except in January). The boat has fully fitted kitchen with cooking facilities, a disabled access toilet and shower and a wheelchair lift should this be required. During cold weather the boat can be heated with a real coal stove, or diesel boiler radiators when underway.
Whatever the reason for your visit to London you can be sure that we can offer you great value accommodation at a unique location.
