Vacancy - Join our Trustee Board

We're looking to add building expertise to our trustee board and would welcome a trustee with a background in property - perhaps with experience of construction projects, facilities or building or estate management. The position is voluntary and involves attending board meetings (currently held virtually) every 4-6 weeks.

Designed by the famous architect Richard Siefert (who has more London buildings under his belt than Sir Christopher Wren), The Pirate Castle was purpose-built in 1977 to replace the Charity's original club-house barge. Thanks to an extensive fundraising campaign the building was extended in 2008 to provide updated facilities and access for special needs and disability groups. Our custom-designed, fully accessible wide-beam canal boat followed in 2011, opening up the waterway for all to enjoy. With a continued focus on local youngsters and families experiencing hardship, disability groups of all ages and the schools and voluntary organisations which support them, The Pirate Castle is both a true London icon and a proud emblem of community dedication and ambition.

If you are interested in this trustee role, please email info@thepiratecastle.org to register your interest. Applications are encouraged from people with relevant expertise from all backgrounds, including BAME candidates and people with disabilities.
