Celebrating Community & Grassroots Sport with the PM!
It was a privilege for Kal (our Development Manager) to represent our amazing charity at the Community & Grassroots Sport Reception at No. 10 Downing Street.
The event championed the transformative power of grassroots sport for individuals and communities. We couldn't agree more! Our raft of paddlesport activities on the Regent's Canal opens up blue-space health and enrichment benefits, helping people of all ages and abilities get more active, feel better about themselves, gain skills and qualifications and make positive connections.
The Prime Minister also used the occasion to announce that the Government will work with local areas and the sporting sector to better understand what facilities communities need, ensuring investment goes to the right places and helps more people from all backgrounds get active and healthier.
It was great to meet so many other wonderful organisations and have the impact of our community work recognised by the Prime Minister – the canapés were rather tasty, too!
