Black Pearl - a new boat for Christmas!
Thanks to S106 funding from Camden Council, we are proud to introduce the newest addition to The Pirate Castle fleet!
Black Pearl is a stunning, 57 foot long narrowboat with a modern, well-equipped interior and one the longest, most spacious foredecks we have ever seen on a narrowboat - perfect for watching the canalscape unfold around you!
Her walk-through layout and large stern deck also make her the ideal training boat, whether you simply want to try your hand at steering whilst on a cruise with us or if you're taking part in one of our Boat Handling courses.
Our intrepid Boat Manager and his volunteer crew will be braving the winter weather to bring Black Pearl to her new home at The Pirate Castle next week, but you'll have to wait until we re-open in mid-February 2017 to join us for a cruise on our newest addition... stay tuned!
Taking 5 days and passing through Britain's third longest tunnel (Blisworth at 3,076 yards long), our voyage will start in Crick, on the Leicester Section of the Old Grand Union. After joining the Grand Union Main Line we'll travel many miles cross-country before joining the Paddington Arm at Bull's Bridge to bring us into west London, then on to the final stretch home along the Regent's Canal to Camden.
