Vacancy - Join our Trustee Board We're looking to add building expertise to our trustee board and would welcome a trustee with a background in property - perhaps with experience of construction projects, facilities or building or estate management. The position is voluntary and involves attending board meetings (currently held virtually) every 4-6 weeks. Read more

RE-OPENING - THE CANAL BOATS ARE BACK!! We are very happy to say that The Pirate Castle has now re-opened, offering an adapted range of socially distanced services running over the summer, including our popular Summer Holiday Scheme. Sport England Emergency Funding Great news - we are delighted to announce that Sport England have awarded us a grant of £5,500 towards The Pirate Castle's running costs and helping us recover from our temporary closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a huge boost for our small, local charity and will make a huge difference to keeping The Pirate Castle afloat! Boat Handling Experience Days 2020 The Pirate Castle will be running our popular Boat Handling Experience Days throughout 2020. These non-certificated one day courses provide friendly, hands-on training with our experienced, NCBA-accredited trainers, covering basic canal boat and lock handling skills. 'Pirate Club' Youth Kayaking Sessions Looking for an affordable, adventurous activity where your kids can learn new skills, make friends and explore a different side of London? Our popular 'Pirate Club' offers kayaking and canoeing sessions for 8-18 year olds, run by professional British Canoeing-accredited instructors. These sessions run throughout the summer and autumn terms: Wednesdays 16:30 - 18:00 and Saturdays 10:00 - 11:30. We fundraise to offer heavily subisidised rates of only £5.00 per session (£3.00 concessions with proof of eligibility). Read more

Black Pearl is a stunning, 57 foot long narrowboat with a modern, well-equipped interior and one the longest, most spacious foredecks we have ever seen on a narrowboat - perfect for watching the canalscape unfold around you!
